Stop looking at me like that.
Dont give me your sympathy either,
That's the last thing I'll ever want.
And don't act as if you actually care,
cuz I know you really don't.
If I could act differently
you could love me then? No,
I think you've had your mind set from the beginning,
I'll never be anything more than just another friend.
You know I'm falling,
But you wont be here to cath me.
So I'm just left to fall,
Until I finally crash at the bottom.
Tell me my dear,
What should I do now?
Should I give up and just move on,
Or could you really give me a fair fighting chance?
Is that risk of trying really worth the pain of your rejection?
It might kill my poor bleeding heart,
But I'll wear it on my sleeve,
I'll take that risk,
And I'll continue to fall.
Besides, I don't think I have any other choice.

Labor of Love (LoL)
"Pick up the pieces, let nothing be wasted." ~John 6:12
A desire to serve and a passion for the downtrodden lead 18-year-old Baker Watkins to develop an organization and create and deliver 46 blankets and 36 scarves to the homeless living in “Tent City” in downtown Nashville.
“God always laid in my heart to do something unique,” said Baker.
A few weeks before Christmas, Baker awoke in the middle of the night with the name Labor of Love rattling around in his head. Not understanding what it meant, he fasted and prayed for a week until the answer “birthed itself:” make blankets for the homeless.
A child of the computer age, Baker immediately put the idea on his Facebook page and asked for donations to purchase the materials he needed to make enough blankets to make a difference.
Donations flowed in and within a week, he created enough blankets and scarves to make a difference to a group of homeless men and women. He also collected clothes, coats and shoes, which he delivered along with the blankets. The boxes filled the family’s living room.
Five days before Christmas, the family joined Jeff & Dee Dee Etheridge, who minister to the homeless regularly, and delivered the goods to a more than eager group.
“I don’t know if God planned it that way – but luckily I was paying attention enough to listen to him,” Baker said, adding he couldn’t have accomplished anything without the help of family and friends. “God presented the opportunity; he gave me the name and showed me the need. All I’ve done is be his mouthpiece and hands.”
Making blankets wasn’t really such a strange directive for the teen. Baker has been working with fabric, needle and thread since he was in the third grade and he has a passion for the homeless and downtrodden.
His real interest in sewing began in his early teens when he became fascinated Civil War reenacting. He needed a period coat to participate. Since they were expensive to buy, he bought fabric and hand-sewed his own coat and has been working with textiles ever since.
A year or so later, his sister dropped her much-loved camera. Baker traded his camera for her sewing machine, which she was ever so happy to turn over, and like the tailor Motel Kamzoil in Fiddler on the Roof, sewing took on a whole new fervor.
“I’ve always had a passion for the homeless, the downtrodden – people who are different,” Baker said, adding he identifies with them. With his long hair, piercings and tattoos, “I’ve always been different in the world’s eyes. I don’t look the same. I don’t act the same. I’m looked on as crazy and I’ve come to accept that but so many people don’t.”
Baker learned more about the homeless when, just months into his senior year of high school, he dropped out, got his GED and left home for an internship at a teen recovery home for boys at a homeless shelter in Los Angeles. Although the job didn’t go as well as he hoped, he learned a lot and developed a special love for the dispossessed.
His organization, Labor of Love, will continue to make blankets and scarves and collect food and clothing for the homeless.
“We warm the cold, feed the hungry and love the lonely,” he said.
Information about donating clothing – including undergarments and shoes – candles in jars, backpacks, soap, shampoo, trash bags, food or monetary donations may be found at Baker’s Facebook page LOL/Labor of Loveor by emailing him directly at bakerwatkins@gmail.com or calling 615-260-5426.
“People can help by going through drawers,” said Baker’s sister, Molly. “But please don’t bring your junk. They still deserve to feel they have value.”

A Christmas Surprise!
Merry Christmas everyone and God bless you and your families! For Christmas all I asked for was a metallica shirt and cd and a pair of converse. Well I got those and a paramore jacket and a cute coat and socks, and a laptop! But most of all, I got a baby brother! My mum's due date was the 11th, but she went two weeks over and had Baby Max today, Christmas morning. He was born at 6:03am, 10lbs, and 21 1/2 inches long. He is such a cute chunky monkey but he has such a loud cry. We went to see him today and its just so hard to think that any of us were ever that small, ot actually smaller. lol

chicken update
Since the last time that I posted about our chickens, we have acquired even more. We had 11 up until about a month ago, when my chicken Lunch, died of what I think was a stuck egg. The reamaining ten chickens are on a good sunny day, putting out a grand total of ten eggs a day.
Your probably wondering if any other chickens are as uniquely named as my now dead chicken Lunch. Well a few are not named yet but the others are Sally, Floppy, Chickie, Strawberry, Ring-Leader, and Cadberry. LOl, you decided for yourself if those are odd names or not.

Senior Lake Trip
The Saturday after VBS the seniors, juniors, and college freshmans went out to Tim's Ford for a beautiful day out on the lake. We all ate great food, had tons of fun with friends, and several people had a little too much lake. lol
Tubing was loads of fun, even with my sunday school teachers daughter Carson flipping me and a friend off of the tube. It was so much fun that I can't wait for our camping trip coming up September 25!!!
I'm sorry that I don't have as many details about the trip as I would usually post but I will work on lengthening up my post over the next few days.

My poor forgotten blog.
I admit that I totally forgot about my blog, I was only recently reminded of it when I got an email saying tha tI had a new comment. I thank you Aaron for posting a comment that eventually got to me and reminded me of my once loved but currently forgotten and completely mistreated blog.
I will set several post up to automatically post everyday for the next week or so until I have caught up on what I've been up to since prom.
To end this post I will just inform you all that we found out that my Mum is having another boy! That makes the boy-girl ratio even now.

Prom!
Back in May I went to my first prom. It was a homeschool prom and it was tons of fun.
I danced with a group of friends and some guy, I think his name was Alec? Asked me to slow dance with him to the Titanic theme song. I had fun :)

Twilight Parody
I am a die-hard Twilight saga fan! I loved the books, but I'll tell you that when I first saw the movie I was a bit disappointed. But I watched it agian and after thinking about it, yes the movie cut out a lot of stuff but it tells the story of the relationship between Bella and Edward perfectly. So all together I liked the movie.
Recently my Mom's friend found this video by Hillywood Show. Its a Twilight Parody, and its quite amazing! They did the casting so amazing and...well, just watch it and see for yourself!
If you liked that one, then you'll like this one. I found it before the movie came out.

an update on my chickens
Sometime last year my family built a chicken tractor and we bought four hens. Sally, Chickie, Flappy, and Lunch.
Well they are all doing fine and laying some delicious fresh eggs everyday. We usually get 3-4 eggs a day.
Recently we built a second chicken tractor that is a lot easier to move around. That way, during the day we can put them in the new one so they can get fresh grass.
They also enjoy digging around and taking dirt baths.
In the picture above you can see my cat Lucky, who has gotten too curious for his own good. Everytime I mess with the chicken he is always there waiting for a chance to get at them. Tomorrow he will have a water squirt bottle or the water hose waiting for him.

Too many Good-byes all in the same day
I hate having to say goodbye to my friends. This weekend our neighbors, which by the way are the best neighbors in the world, came back to get the last of their stuff before heading back to their new home. They will be missed, but maybe one day we will be able to come visit their lake house and go pontooning with them!
This morning for Sunday school, my class went to McDonald's. The teachers paid for the whole class, but it was their way of saying bye. They told us they are switching churches, and this morning was their last day at our church. I've been in thier Sunday school class for about five years or so, and I will miss them too.
Good-byes can be good too, I mean now I get new neighbors who I've already met and they seem really nice. Plus I will start going to a different Sunday school class now and meet new people.
Well, I think thats about all I have to say right now, but I'll blog agian soon {hopefully}.

Felt food is not edible
As you can obviously see from this picture; I've been making more felt food toys. I am quite proud of how these turned out! The top one is a slice of watermelon, and the bottom fruit is an apple cut into four pieces.

An early start
I've been working on Christmas presents for this coming Christmas. Yes, I know its a little too early to start that, but if you know anything about me then you know that I ALWAYS procrastinate EVERYTHING. So if you think about it, now is not too early for me. Surprising enough, I've actually got a good start on my gifts too! Just look for yourselves:
This is a pink and white hat that I made for my little sister who is currently five and ver much loves pink stuff.
I am currently working on a pink scarf that has beads attached to the yarn, it will look so pretty with this hat once its finished.
The next picture is of a bracelet I did. It started out as a scarf but I messed it up somehow so it turned into a bracelet.
Check back soon for pictures of other crafts that I've finished.
